I love to sit and watch the television with my baby and she especially loves the story of the three bears, but the problem was always that since she is so young I always have to hold her in my lap so it prevents me engaging with her and also if I want to get things done then I can’t. Recently I was given A Bumbo Chair as a gift and it changed the way I watch the three bears with my daughter in an amazing way
If you are wondering what this incredible concept baby Chair is then I should keep you in suspense a little longer by telling you what it has done for me and my family because it would not explain how amazing this baby chair is if I simply just told you about it’s features and what it does.
What amazes me is that noone has thought of this concept before, because what it does quite simply is solve a problem that has been annoying parents since the dawn of time. The Bumbo Chair allows your baby to sit unaided, and quite simply this is incredible. The most beneficial product in a long time and let me share why
In the beginning of your baby’s life, the inability to sit unaided can prove to be incredibly frustrating for all involved. The child gets irritated because they want to look around and see the world but cannot sit up and the parent is hampered by the fact that they need to carry the baby everywhere they go unless the child is sleeping
Granted the baby is not always awake and so you can get things done while she sleeps but generally speaking, when the baby is awake and unable to sit on her own, you will need to be there with her, and this is nice for maybe 10 minutes, but things are not going to cook and clean themselves and time is valuable. With this new baby Chair – now you can have that time back!
The baby is now free to sit unsupported and this means that you are now free to get on with the things that need doing (and as a parent, there are ALWAYS things that need doing!) because instead of your baby lying there and getting frustrated, or you holding her as you attempt to clean the house, now the baby sits in a chair that not only supports her and prevents her from falling over, but also promotes proper spine growth and amazingly helps your baby develop the muscles necessary to crawl and walk!
So what is the Bumbo Chair made from and how does it work? Well the chair itself is made from a non toxic rubber that is so soft to the touch and basically moulds around your baby’s legs and torso. The rubber has a soft outer skin that is no fuss easy to clean and mess just wipes off without a problem. It weighs almost nothing and as such is so easy to take anywhere with you, that means that when you are getting your chores done, you can take the baby with you into each room so she can sit and giggle as she watches you work.
Words cannot explain how much this ‘third hand for parents’ has helped me with almost every aspect of my life simply because it allows my baby to sit unaided. WIth this new found freedom not only am I getting all the chores around the house done, but my baby is so much happier and engaging all the time now. And knowing that this is also promoting good growth and development in my child makes this the most amazing gift I have ever been given. I just wanted to share that and make sure noone is missing out on this incredible innovation.

Increasing vitamin D3 dosages has been shown by the Moores Cancer Center and the University of California to prevent many cancers of the breast and colorectal as much as 600,000. The piece of information of importance to the inhabitants of north equator like Asia, Canada, Europe and north american. As a result of breaking down the cases, the results would be 250,000 cases on colorectal cancer and 350,000 on cancer of the breast. In all these cases, 150,000 is found in just US.
Studies have shown a linkage between vitamin D3 dosages and response given by the body against cancer. This experiment was conducted using the satellite sun and cloud cover methods in places where the volunteer subjects stayed. Fifteen countries took part in this studies as their representatives undergo a test on their vitamin D3 blood levels. Next 177 countries used the similar method which is the sun/could exposures to produce a result showing the average amount of vitamin D found in their serum in their body.
Knowing the study places emphasis on two types of cancer, scientists concluded that up to 16 forms of cancer can be prevented by having vitamin D3 dosages between 45-52 ng/ml (115-128 nmol/l), otherwise follow the recommendations by your personal physician.
Safe sunlight exposure would be the best solution to prevent vitamin D deficiency but much of your body parts need to be exposed to ensure maximum benefit. It is the UV content in the light that causes vitamin D3 production in the body. As climates of the northern region do not have much UVB lights for efficient production of vitamin D in the body. The only way to know this is to let your health care provider test your 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels. In other case, if the place you are staying has high amount of UVB content in sunlight it is suggested you expose no less than 40 % of your skin to sunlight in moderation by prevention damage to the skin.
Contrary to that, if the area you are living has limited availability to sunlight, especially from September to mid of late April, you can consider increasing vitamin D3 dosage by ingesting vitamin D3 supplements. Consult your personal physician on the right vitamin D3 dosage for you.
You can rid yourself the risk of getting no less than sixteen kinds of cancers by having the amount of vitamin D3 dosage that ensures your vitamin D3 levels falls in the healthy range, which is of better news when we reach senior years. We have higher risk of inflammation of low grade as we age more than 35 and it will become worse as it goes. We can alkalize our body with good diet and ingest more potent antioxidants with good foods and recommended supplementation, combine with the right quantity of vitamin D3 dosage. With these, we can live our lives especially during our golden years with better quality of life.

When women find out they’re having a baby, one of the first things they want to do is proudly display it in maternity clothing. However, maternity clothes can be expensive. Here are 10 ways to dress when you find out you are pregnant that will help you save money without being uncomfortable in this important time.
The first tip is to avoid rushing out right away and buying your entire maternity wardrobe. Some clothes will end up being too big and then will be too small later on. Try to make the clothes you have now last as long as possible. Consider a belly band that can be bought at a maternity store and allows you to keep wearing your same pair of jeans for quite some time. A second tip is to consider buying transitional clothes in plus sizes, that will be comfortable and often just as fashionable as maternity clothing.
A third tip for dressing during pregnancy is to shop thrifty, from a second hand store. You can find really good clothing that is in great shape and even looks expensive, at a fraction of the cost. Because maternity clothes are often only necessary for the last trimester of pregnancy, a fourth tip might mean that you borrow clothes from friends. Friends often get pregnant around the same time and they won’t be using theirs once their own child is born. Ask family and friends for what they have left over.
A fifth tip for pregnancy dressing is to keep the silhouette of the pregnant body in mind when choosing clothes. Look for A-line cuts that are narrow at the top and flared at the bottom. Empire waists that ride over the belly just beneath the breasts are perfect. A sixth tip means looking into Dad’s wardrobe to see what he has that might fit you just as well. A button up shirt left undone with a T-shirt beneath will look great. Button it up and put it over leggings with some bangles and a choker and rolled up sleeves to look classy.
Layers are the seventh tip to think of when dressing for maternity. Layers break up the solid look of a pregnant shape and can be taken off if moms start to get overheated. The thing to watch out for though with the layered look is sloppiness. A layered look can be very classy if done correctly.
For the eighth tip, consider showing a bit of skin during pregnancy. Some women continue to have great legs and arms through out their trimesters, and some are very proud of their new cleavage. However, don’t try to squish your way into your old clothing, which could be painful and very uncomfortable as your body swells.
For the ninth tip, choose maternity wear that you will feel comfortable wearing after the baby is born. Nursing bras also double as great maternity full support bras. And once the baby is born, you won’t have the energy to go shopping for new clothes. Maternity clothing that can double as ‘after baby’ clothing can make the weeks if not months of recovery from birth more comfortable.
A tenth and very important tip to remember as the 10 ways to dress when you find out you are pregnant is respecting what is happening to your body. A chemical called relaxin, for instance, is spreading your joints so that your pelvis will allow the baby through. One of the results is that your feet spread too. So don’t choose maternity as a time to start wearing high heels or platform shoes. Whatever you choose to wear during your pregnancy, most importantly feel comfortable and beautiful. It’s a blessed event!

Until he or she reaches the teenager stage, you will still need to worry for their necessity items including shoes, clothing and toys. Newborn babies in the older century might not have a chance to wear newborn shoes and socks. Only the royal families will have the luxury to do so. In today world, newborn babies will have everything they need including socks, name tags as well as nutrient milk. Once the baby learns to crawl and start walking, this may be a good time to consider buying a good pairs of junior shoes. This is especially important to protect the little tiny feet from getting hurt while learning to walk.

The thought of getting pregnant after miscarriage can be quite daunting, as many women are afraid of a second miscarriage. A miscarriage, referred to by doctors as a spontaneous abortion, is the loss of a pregnancy before around twenty weeks. It is believed (according to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine) that as many as twenty five percent of known pregnancies will miscarry. This rate will most likely be higher in actuality because miscarriages can happen before a woman is even aware she is pregnant.
What causes a woman to miscarry is still not completely clear. Miscarriages that occur in the first twelve weeks of a pregnancy are believed to be the result of a random occurrence of chromosomal abnormalities present in the foetus, and this inhibits its normal development and causes a miscarriage.
The health and well-being of the mother can also play a part. Medical conditions like un-tended diabetes or structural problems in the woman’s uterus which result in an improper egg implantation can affect a miscarriage, as can a number of autoimmune conditions in the mother. There are also lifestyle factors, like smoking or drug abuse by the mother which can increase the chances of miscarrying. There are also a large number of miscarriages which are the result of the egg not being implanted in the uterus correctly – thankfully this can be corrected by knowing the most appropriate times of the month for successful conception, but more on that later.
There are a number of signs that may precede a miscarriage including lower back pain and cramps in the abdomen and pelvis as well as fluid or tissue and blood coming from the vagina. Bleeding usually precedes all early miscarriages, however many pregnant women experience blood spotting and some bleeding in early pregnancy, so it is not always a sign of miscarriage.
The vast majority of miscarriage in early pregnancy will not need medical attention because the uterus expels its contents as if it was a heavy menstrual period. In cases where tissue remains inside and shows up on an ultrasound, then a cleansing procedure, or medication may be required to make sure all the residual tissue is expelled. This is an important step if tissue remains inside, as infections may set in if nothing is done. Getting pregnant after miscarriage is not advised for at least a good couple of months. If recurring miscarriages are a problem, then there are tests that can be done to see if they can determine the cause.
It is important before going out and getting any of these (sometimes painful) tests, that you make sure that the improper implantation of the egg into the uterine lining is not the cause. The likelihood of this can be reduces significantly by trying for a baby at the appropriate monthly times.
This time is when there is a cervical fluid which has the resemblance of eggwhites, which is the woman’s most fertile time of the month. When the man has a normal sperm count, then the couple should have intercourse every day of the eggwhite cervical fluid and should only cease once a rise in basal temperature is noticed in the woman. For men who’s sperm count is low, then intercourse should only be done on every second day until the rise in temperature. This will not only increase the chances of conception, but will also decrease the likelihood of miscarriage caused from improper implantation of the ovum in the uterine lining.
Pre-conception is a crucial time for getting healthy. This means that diet, weight and exercise are all important to maintain before conception takes place. Quitting cigarettes and not being around other people’s smoke is also important. Caffeine should not be ingested, and alcohol is a definite no-go. Awareness of your external environment and any toxins you may be exposed to are also important – painting the house is out, unless ‘green’ paints are used, and carpeting should be avoided, as new carpets are often laced with formaldehyde. Importantly for getting pregnant after miscarriage, you have to remember to look at lifestyle factors like stress and emotional worries, and try to have intercourse at the appropriate time of the month.

The late Dr. Landrum Shettles a renowned expert on baby gender prediction methods developed, after years of research, a gender selection method that he felt was “best supported by scientific evidence”.
Dr Shettles wrote a best selling book called How To Choose The Sex Of Your Baby, you’ll find a link at my site. He claimed a 75%-90% success rate using his techniques. There have been a few ebooks authored (also at my site) that claim an even higher success rate of up to 98%. These ebooks utilize Dr Shettles methods as well as other baby gender prediction methods to achieve this amazing success rate!
The Shettles method is based on the fact that it’s the man’s sperm that determines whether a baby is a female or male. This is because the woman’s egg carries only the (x) or (girl) chromosome, and the man’s sperm comes in two varieties, one carrying the (x) or girl sperm (which results in a girl baby) and the (y) or boy sperm (that results in a boy baby.) Dr Shettles also realized that the girl sperm was physically larger, stronger (longer lived), and a slower swimmer (slower to reach the egg.) The boy sperm is smaller, more fragile (dies off quicker), and is a much faster swimmer (will win the race to fertilize the egg most of the time.)
The doctor also realized that timing of intercourse, and the depth of penetration during conceptual intercourse could help to determine if the resulting baby was a boy or girl. The mother-to-be will have to track her day of ovulation precisely in order to time conceptual intercourse precisely as well.
If a boy baby is desired abstain from sex until the day before ovulation, and abstain again the second day after ovulation. Also when trying to conceive a boy sexual positions that allow deep penetration are best (“doggie style” or missionary position with the woman’s legs extended up towards her head.) Why is this? Because of the differences in the two sperm. This timing, and deep penetration allows the fast swimming boy sperm to win the race to the fresh waiting egg, resulting in the boy baby you want.
If a girl baby is desired, the couple should have sex practicing only shallow penetration, and abstain from sex for a couple of days before ovulation and until a couple of days after ovulation. Here again this gives the short lived boy sperm to much time and distance to survive and allows the slow but longer lived girl sperm a time and distance advantage, and assures (hopefully) conceiving a girl baby.
Dr Shettles determined that vaginal acidity also plays a role in which sperm succeeds in fertilizing the egg. He found that a lower ph (higher acidity) favored the girl sperm and a higher ph (lower acidity) favored the survival of the boy sperm.
Although these are pretty simple concepts, you will find a guide to be indispensable! There are three ebooks offered online that will take you step by step through the entire process, and if followed diligently tip the odds of success from about 50/50 to well over 90%!

If you are experiencing a problem getting pregnant, then understanding the intricacies of what it takes to achieve a fertilised egg is of prime importance.
At the time of ovulation, the fallopian tube will pick up the new egg after it burst out of the ovarian wall. It is only a matter of seconds after the egg is released from the ovarian wall that the fimbria, or the tip of the fallopian tube will pick the egg up and draw it into the tube properly. If an egg remains unfertilised it can live for up to twenty four hours, and after dying it will be absorbed by the body or it will disintegrate and come out with the menses. To put it in perspective, the size of the egg is about as big as a full stop – like this one.
If on the other hand an egg does get fertilised it happens within a couple of hours after ovulation, and will happen while the egg is in the fallopian tube. Fertilisiation does not take place in the uterus, contrary to the widely held misconception that it does. The whole journey of the sperm to the egg in the fallopian tubes can take a good number of hours. There are cilia, or tiny hairs which line the fallopian tube, and when an egg has been fertilised, these vibrate and draw the egg further inside. The fertilised ovum will reach its final destination and begin to burrow into the nutritious lining of the uterus after about one week of ‘travelling’ to reach there.
For couples who are having aproblem getting pregnant there is a crucial point to understand and that is that a fertilised egg requires three things: the egg (of course) and the sperm, and the very special medium which will allow the sperm and egg to traverse the hostile vaginal atmosphere in safety.
This medium which affords safe passage to the sperm and egg is an eggwhite-like cervical fluid which is especially fertile. It is this cervical fluid which will allows the sperm to travel to the cervix in safety and unite with the waiting egg. This amazing fertile mucus is produced with rising levels of oestrogen in the first part of the cycle, and is at its best at the time of ovulation. In this type of cervical fluid, sperm can survive inside for up to five days – so it is entirely possible to have intercourse at the beginning of the week, and not become pregnant till the end of the week!
Once pregnant, the body begins its amazing process – it would be a disaster for the lining of the uterus to start to disintegrate as it normally does in the menstrual cycle, so a pregnant body will actually start to protect itself to prevent this disintegrating from occurring as it normally would. When a fertilised egg burrows into the lining of the uterus, the body starts producing a hormone called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) which prevents this from happening. The message this hormone sends is to the lining itself (the corpus luteum) and it simple tells it to stay alive. The corpus luteum will continue to maintain itself for a couple of months till the placenta is ready to take over and the placenta will then maintain the lining as well as provide oxygen and nourishment to the growing foetus.
False-negative pregnancy tests are usually received if the test has been done too soon, because the whole process can take a while, and the test is measuring HCG, so if it hasn’t been produced yet, the test will come back negative even if an egg is fertilised. When women chart their cycles, they are more likely to know when a pregnancy has occurred from the first point of implantation because of the notable changes in the cycle.
When couples are having a problem getting pregnant it really is vital that they fully understand the process involved in getting pregnant, because unlike what our mums tell us as youths, for some getting pregnant is not that easy.

If you are wanting to find out the best time to conceive, then you have to know about the fertile times in a woman’s cycle – which is a fairly complex time to pinpoint. Firstly when an egg is released it will only live a short time, a maximum of 24 hours and if two eggs are released in one ovulation cycle then that means only around two fertile days in a month. From the man’s side his sperm can survive inside for around five days so coupled with the woman this means around a week of fertility in a month. For the best indicator of a woman’s fertile time one needs to check the quality of cervical fluid – when it is an eggwhite consistency this is the fertile period, but it may only be there for a couple of days.
There are lots of women who think they conceived a child during a period, despite this being a next to impossible thing to do. There are occasions when one may become pregnant from intercourse during the end of her period, but this is quite rare. It is possible if the woman’s cycle is very short, and the sperm live long enough to fertilise the ovum. The more common case is when a woman mistakes blood spotting during ovulation as a period and get pregnant at this time. This is a reminder of how important it is to really know and understand you cycle and the functioning of your body.
The most common way which doctors prescribe for finding the best time to conceive is by charting changes in the body’s basal temperature. This is sadly to the exclusion of the most important (and most accurate) determinant of fertility, and that is cervical fluid. Moreover using the basal method for fertile timings can actually impede efforts at conception, because by the time a change in temperature is record it’s too late and the egg has died. Basal temperature measuring is a part of knowing your body and is useful in getting pregnant, but it is not a measure of fertile times, and this is not acknowledged enough by doctors.
The most accurate way of finding your fertile window is by charting the changes in cervical fluid. When there is cervical fluid which has the look and consistency of eggwhites, this is the indicator of the fertile time. The eggwhite fluid tells you that you are ovulating, but some women have trouble determining what to look for, so another indicator is the wettest type of fluid, of a wet sensation. The best time to conceive is the last day that there is the eggwhite mucus present.
For couples where the man has a normal sperm count then when the wet fertile fluid comes it is the time to start having intercourse (daily) up until you see a rise in the basal temperature which indicated that the fertile time is actually over. Men with low sperm counts must only have sex every second day during this time, and stop on the morning the basal temperature rises.
Prior to keeping a record of the cervical fluid, you must know what it is you are looking for as the cervical mucus changes greatly in colour, consistency as well as volume. By noting these changes you can really improve the chances of conceiving quickly.
Ovulation is the best time to conceive, and this is the time of the month when there is a high volume of cervical fluid. The mucus that comes with ovulation (as noted already) is eggwhite mucus which is very fertile stuff, and prime baby making material!
If you want an accurate measure of where you are in your cycle, then noting the changes in cervical mucus can help a lot. Over a couple of months you will get a very good idea of the time you ovulate, and unlike with basal temperature methods, this way there will be enough time to actually take advantage of the fertile window.
