A Few Healthier Food Substitutes
Though we all like to splurge on bad foods once in a while, we can’t do this regularly. Despite this, it’s easier said than done as it’s always hard to stay consistently disciplined.
Since we have a hard time holding back sometimes, many of us gain weight over time. For a number of reasons, both physical and medical, we should definitely make all possible efforts to keep ourselves at a healthy weight.
If you like to eat good foods but also want to lose weight, there are three suggestions that I’d like to make as far as healthier food substitutes go. Try any of these out for better overall health.
They say that the average American consumes several hamburgers per week, and I’m not surprised. After all, look at how successful McDonald’s and other franchises are. Still, this isn’t healthy and a white meat turkey burger would be a much better alternative and one I’d recommend.
You’d be surprised at how good these could taste on a whole wheat bun with a slice of low fat cheese.
Are you a big soda drinker? Even if you’re consuming diet drinks, this simply isn’t a good habit. Instead of either one of these drinks, have an all natural sparkling juice drink instead if you like the feel of carbonation.
French fries are another silent killer that we simply should be eating less of. It might be hard to do this at first, but start eating baked potatoes in their place.
If you need to, you could even throw some low fat sour cream or cheese onto it. A bit of butter isn’t even so bad since it’s all natural.
Try working any of these things into your diet. If you can make these a regular substitute, you’ll be off to a great start.
Aside from food, this writer additionally regularly blogs on used commercial refrigerators and the True commercial refrigerator.
